PokéSurvivor builds by Pokémon

Last updated · Game patch · Unofficial fan guide

This page covers eight PokéSurvivor partners, each with its own build. For builds that work on any partner, see PokéSurvivor builds by archetype.

On this page: Gengar · Marshadow · Eternatus · Kartana · Lucario · Mewtwo · Keldeo · Munkidori

Gengar build

Stats and how to get it

Ghost/Poison, 4★. HP 97, ATK 1.42, SPD 124. Pull it on the Kanto banner.

Best moves

Special is Gengar's stronger side (1.42 special vs 1.06 physical). It opens with Shadow Ball. Our picks: Hex, Shadow Ball and Ominous Wind, plus Toxic or Acid Spray, whose poison makes Hex hit much harder.

Held items and upgrades

We'd run Quick Claw for faster cooldowns, or Focus Sash while you're still learning it. With only 97 HP, put Vitality early in your upgrades.

Which build archetype fits

Meteor & chain crowd control, which already names Ghost types as a natural fit.

Marshadow build

Stats and how to get it

Fighting/Ghost, legendary (5★). HP 110, ATK 1.39, SPD 130. You can pull it as a 5★ on the Alola banner, and it also turns up as a boss in rifts.

Best moves

Physical is Marshadow's stronger side (1.39 physical vs 1.20 special). It opens with Karate Chop. Our picks: Shadow Sneak and Karate Chop, plus Hex, which is S tier even on its weaker special side. Swords Dance raises its Attack once a bond fuses it with an attack.

Held items and upgrades

If you fight up close, take Shell Bell or Rocky Helmet; if you don't, Quick Claw. Strength and Vitality come first.

Which build archetype fits

As a Fighting type it suits Melee bruiser, and physical is its stronger side.

Eternatus build

Stats and how to get it

Poison/Dragon, legendary (5★). HP 133, ATK 1.50, SPD 133. It's a 5★ on the Galar banner and shows up as a rift boss too.

Best moves

Special is Eternatus's stronger side (1.50 special vs 1.17 physical). It opens with Sludge. Our picks: Toxic, Acid Spray, Dragon Rage and Sludge.

Held items and upgrades

Leftovers is our choice. It heals a share of max HP every second, so it scales with that big pool. Assault Vest is the alternative. Eternatus is already fast, so take Strength and Reflexes before Stride.

Which build archetype fits

Aura tank. With 133 HP it can afford to sit inside the horde.

Kartana build

Stats and how to get it

Grass/Steel, 4★. HP 97, ATK 1.70, SPD 124. Pulled from the Alola banner, and that 1.70 is the best physical multiplier of any non-legendary.

Best moves

It leans hard into physical (1.70 physical vs 1.02 special). It opens with Vine Whip. Our picks: Meteor Mash, Seed Bomb and Metal Claw or Vine Whip, with Swords Dance once a bond fuses it with an attack.

Held items and upgrades

We'd start with Focus Sash to survive mistakes, then move to Choice Band (+40% damage, no switching) once bonds fuse your moves into one slot. 97 HP is fragile, so Vitality comes first.

Which build archetype fits

Melee bruiser fits its physical side, though with HP that low you have to play it carefully up close.

Lucario build

Stats and how to get it

Fighting/Steel, 4★. HP 102, ATK 1.33, SPD 116. It sits on the Sinnoh banner.

Best moves

Almost even (1.33 special vs 1.31 physical), so both sides work. It opens with Karate Chop. Our picks: Flash Cannon, Mirror Shot, Meteor Mash and Karate Chop.

Held items and upgrades

Quick Claw or Shell Bell both work. Its HP is average, so Strength and Vitality go first.

Which build archetype fits

Melee bruiser, which names both Fighting and Steel types.

Mewtwo build

Stats and how to get it

Psychic, legendary (5★). HP 118, ATK 1.55, SPD 133. Pull it as a 5★ on the Kanto banner; it also appears as a rift boss.

Best moves

Special is Mewtwo's stronger side (1.55 special vs 1.31 physical). It opens with Confusion, and as a single-type Pokémon it deals 20% more damage with Psychic moves. Our picks: a TM from the Kecleon Shop such as Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt or Hex, plus Hyper Voice and Nasty Plot.

Held items and upgrades

Life Orb (+30% damage for a little HP per attack) is our first choice, because Mewtwo's speed helps cover the cost. Quick Claw also works. Get Reflexes early.

Which build archetype fits

No archetype is built on Psychic moves, since they were weakened on 11 Oct. Plan the run around a TM move instead and pick whichever archetype matches it.

Keldeo build

Stats and how to get it

Water/Fighting, legendary (5★). HP 111, ATK 1.41, SPD 123. It's a 5★ on the Unova banner, and you'll meet it as a rift boss as well.

Best moves

Special is Keldeo's stronger side (1.41 special vs 1.10 physical). It opens with Water Gun. Our picks: Water Gun, Hydro Pump, Whirlpool and Aura Sphere.

Held items and upgrades

Quick Claw or Leftovers. For upgrades, go Strength, then Reflexes.

Which build archetype fits

Co-op support if you play with friends, because Water types fit it.

Munkidori build

Stats and how to get it

Poison/Psychic, legendary (5★). HP 110, ATK 1.42, SPD 123. It's a 5★ on the Paldea banner and also appears as a rift boss.

Best moves

Special is Munkidori's stronger side (1.42 special vs 1.11 physical). It opens with Sludge. Our picks: Toxic, Acid Spray, Sludge and Hyper Voice.

Held items and upgrades

Quick Claw. Put upgrades into Stride and Reflexes, because poison builds win by moving.

Which build archetype fits

Meteor & chain crowd control. One catch: since 23 Oct, poison and burn deal only a small fixed amount to the legendaries in the Judgment of Arceus, so keep a non-poison damage move for minute 30.

How to use this page

The stats are the game's own numbers, the same ones the Pokédex shows, checked on 2026-10-31. Held items, moves and upgrade order are our opinion; the items themselves are explained in all 11 held items. To see how these partners rank against everything else, use the tier list. Where to pull them is on gacha, and the rift bosses are covered in rifts and legendaries.

FAQ

What is the best Lucario build in PokéSurvivor?

Go with a melee bruiser setup, hold Quick Claw or Shell Bell, and put Strength and Vitality first. Lucario is a 4★ on the Sinnoh banner. Its physical and special sides are almost even, so Flash Cannon, Mirror Shot, Meteor Mash and Karate Chop all work.

How do I get Mewtwo in PokéSurvivor?

Pull it on the Kanto gacha banner, where it's a 5★ (1.5% per pull, guaranteed 5★ after 70 pulls without one). Beating it in a rift gets you tickets and a bond, but not Mewtwo.

Is Gengar good in PokéSurvivor?

Yes. Its special multiplier (1.42) is strong and its speed (124) is high. The weak spot is HP, at 97.

Physical or special: which do these Pokémon use?

Gengar leans special and Kartana leans heavily physical. Mewtwo, Eternatus, Keldeo and Munkidori lean special, Marshadow leans physical, and Lucario is almost even. You can check any partner on physical vs special.

Will you add more Pokémon builds?

Yes. We add them one Pokémon at a time, starting with whatever Poke Survivor players search for most.
