PokéSurvivor Kecleon Shop, natures, abilities and TMs

Last updated · Unofficial fan guide · Facts checked against the official site and game source

The 21 October 2026 "big update" gave every Pokémon a nature and an ability that work in a run, and added the Kecleon Shop (button in the main menu) to change them and to buy TMs. Numbers on this page come from the game's public data files.

What the Kecleon Shop sells

Everything is paid with PokéCoins (no real money) and goes to your Bag. To use an item, open the collection, pick a Pokémon and press Mint, Capsule or Teach TM on its page.

ItemPriceWhat it does
Mint1,500Change a Pokémon’s nature to any of the 25 you choose.
Ability Capsule1,500Switch to another of its regular abilities (not the hidden one).
Hidden Ability Capsule5,000Switch to any of its abilities, hidden one included.
TM (8 per day)400–1,200Teaches its move permanently to a Pokémon that can learn it; used up when taught.

PokéSurvivor TMs: rules and prices

  • 8 TMs a day, the same for everyone, picked from 58 TM moves and refreshed by the date in Spain. If none suits your current partner, the last slot is replaced by one it can learn. The shop marks which TMs your partner can use, and the Bag tells you how many of your Pokémon could learn each TM you own.
  • Who can learn it: only Pokémon that learn the move by TM in the mainline games, and only moves outside their own pool (their types plus Normal). Mewtwo can learn Shadow Ball; Psyduck cannot learn Flamethrower.
  • Permanent: the TM is used up, and the move is added to that Pokémon's level-up card pool for good. It can also be chosen as a starting move.
  • Price: 300 + 6 × the move's power in the mainline games (status moves 400), so 400 to 1,200 coins.
Do not buy Normal-type TMs (Agility, Nasty Plot, Substitute, Swords Dance, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam): every Pokémon already has Normal moves in its pool, so they can never be taught.

TMs are the easiest way to cover a weakness: give a Pokémon a super-effective option from outside its types (see the type chart), or pick moves on its stronger side from the physical vs special list.

All 25 natures

A nature gives +10% to one stat and −10% to another. Attack and Sp. Atk scale your physical and special moves, Defense and Sp. Def reduce physical and special damage taken, and Speed is movement speed. Five natures are neutral: Hardy, Docile, Bashful, Quirky and Serious.

Our pick (opinion): physical partners want Adamant (or Jolly for speed), special partners Modest (or Timid). Lowering the attack stat you do not use costs nothing.

Abilities and their in-run effects

Each Pokémon has one or two regular abilities and often a hidden one, as in the mainline games (271 abilities in the data). The hidden one comes up 1 time in 20. About 165 abilities have their own effect in PokéSurvivor; the rest, and a few of those with their own effect, give +8% damage with moves of the Pokémon's main type. Examples:

AbilityEffect in a run
Overgrow / Blaze / Torrent / Swarm+35% damage with Grass / Fire / Water / Bug moves while below 1/3 HP
Huge Power, Pure Power+50% damage with physical moves
Adaptability+25% damage with moves of its own types
Protean, Libero+12% damage with every move
Technician+35% damage with low-damage moves
Moxie, Beast Boost+0.5% damage per defeated enemy, up to +15%
Speed Boost+1.5% speed every 10 seconds, up to +30%
Swift Swim / Chlorophyll / Sand Rush / Slush Rush+50% speed in rain / sun / sandstorm / snow
Drizzle / Drought / Sand Stream / Snow WarningSets its weather at the start of the run and every 3 minutes
SturdyA knockout blow leaves it at 1 HP instead (every 90 s)
Multiscale, Shadow ShieldHalf damage taken while at almost full HP
RegeneratorRecovers 0.6% of max HP per second
IntimidateEnemies deal 12% less physical damage to it
LevitateFloats: water, lava and traps do not affect it, Ground barely hurts
Water Absorb, Volt Absorb, Flash Fire…Attacks of that type heal it a little instead of hurting
SniperCritical hits deal ×2 instead of ×1.5
Super Luck+10% critical hit chance
Pickup, Honey Gather+15% PokéCoins during the run
PranksterBuff moves recharge 30% faster
TruantCooldowns 60% longer, but every hit deals +35% damage

Examples: Bulbasaur has Overgrow (hidden Chlorophyll), Charmander Blaze (hidden Solar Power), Squirtle Torrent (hidden Rain Dish) and Pikachu Static (hidden Lightning Rod). Gyarados's hidden Moxie and Dragonite's hidden Multiscale are worth a Hidden Ability Capsule on a main. Weather abilities pair well with the weather guide.

Second starting move upgrade

Also new on 21 October: with Repertoire (1,500 coins) bought, the Second starting move upgrade costs 400 coins once per Pokémon. After that you choose the second move it opens with for free, or leave it random.

What to buy first (opinion)

  1. Coin upgrades on your main still come first; the shop is a late coin sink.
  2. A Mint on your main if its nature lowers the attack stat it uses.
  3. TMs that give your main a strong move outside its types, especially ones it can use as a starting move.
  4. Capsules last, when a Pokémon has a clearly better ability (Huge Power, Speed Boost, Multiscale, Moxie, Adaptability).

Patch details are on the updates page.

FAQ

What is the Kecleon Shop in PokéSurvivor?

A menu shop added on 21 October 2026 where you spend PokéCoins on Mints, Ability Capsules, Hidden Ability Capsules and a daily selection of 8 TMs. Everything you buy goes to your Bag; you use it from a Pokémon’s page in the collection.

How much do Mints and Ability Capsules cost?

A Mint and an Ability Capsule cost 1,500 PokéCoins each and a Hidden Ability Capsule costs 5,000. TMs cost between 400 and 1,200 coins depending on the move.

Which Pokémon can learn a TM in PokéSurvivor?

Only a Pokémon that learns that move by TM in the mainline games, and only if the move is not already in its own pool (its types plus Normal). Mewtwo can learn Shadow Ball, Psyduck cannot learn Flamethrower, and Normal-type TMs can never be taught because every Pokémon already has Normal moves.

How are natures and abilities decided in PokéSurvivor?

Each Pokémon in your collection gets a fixed nature and ability seeded from your save and its Pokédex number, so every device on the same account shows the same ones (Pokémon you owned before the update got theirs too). A hidden ability comes up 1 time in 20 when the Pokémon has one. Mints and Capsules change them for good.

When do the Kecleon Shop TMs change?

Every day, by the date in Spain (Europe/Madrid). All players see the same 8 TMs; if none of them fits your current partner, the last slot is swapped for one it can learn.
