Best Pokémon in PokéSurvivor (by how you get them)
Last updated · Game patch · Unofficial fan guide
Start with Sobble. If you want the strongest non-legendary, pull for Slaking, and treat Regidrago or Eternatus as the legendary jackpot. That's the short version for PokéSurvivor (or Poke Survivor, as plenty of people type it), sorted by what you can actually get. For the full ranking, see the full PokéSurvivor tier list.
Best Pokémon at a glance
Each row is our pick for one goal.
| Goal | Our pick | How to get it | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting out | Sobble | Starter choice | Good attack and speed, and it swims at full speed in water |
| First 4★ worth keeping | Xurkitree | 4★, Alola banner | Highest special multiplier of any non-legendary (1.65) |
| Strongest non-legendary | Slaking | 5★, Hoenn banner | Tops the HP × ATK ranking: HP 138, ATK 1.58, SPD 120 |
| Strongest legendary | Regidrago / Eternatus | 5★, Galar banner | Most HP of any legendary partner / 133 HP with 133 speed |
| Co-op | A Grass, Water or Fairy slower (our opinion) | Any banner | Slowing the horde protects the whole team |
| Judgment of Arceus | Slaking | 5★, Hoenn banner | No. 1 on the Judgment shortlist |
Best starter to begin with
Sobble is the best all-rounder, and as a Water type it swims at full speed where other partners slow down. Scorbunny hits hardest, with the best attack of any starter. Slowpoke is the safe one thanks to its 110 HP.
All 29 starters are compared on best starter.
Best gacha Pokémon worth pulling
Each of the nine banners covers one region and keeps its own pity. A 5★ shows up 1.5% of the time, 70 pulls on a banner without one guarantees a 5★, and every ten-pull has at least one 4★ or better. So pull on the banner of the region whose Pokémon you want. Rates and tickets are covered on gacha.
The lists below use the same sort as the tier list, HP times ATK, which rewards partners that can take hits and hit hard at the same time. Numbers are HP / ATK / SPD.
5★ (non-legendary)
- Slaking (Normal, Hoenn): 138 / 1.58 / 120
- Baxcalibur (Dragon/Ice, Paldea): 122 / 1.50 / 115
- Roaring Moon (Dragon/Dark, Paldea): 117 / 1.46 / 128
- Garchomp (Dragon/Ground, Sinnoh): 119 / 1.42 / 121
4★
- Guzzlord (Dark/Dragon, Alola): 170 / 1.26 / 96
- Blissey (Normal, Johto): 185 / 1.11 / 101
- Iron Hands (Fighting/Electric, Paldea): 139 / 1.47 / 99
- Xurkitree (Electric, Alola): 107 / 1.65 / 113
- Kartana (Grass/Steel, Alola): 97 / 1.70 / 124, the top physical multiplier outside legendaries
3★
- Hariyama (Fighting, Hoenn): 135 / 1.36 / 99
- Darmanitan (Fire, Unova): 117 / 1.47 / 118
- Reuniclus (Psychic, Unova): 120 / 1.39 / 91
Hariyama, with lots of HP and a close-range style, suits the melee bruiser build. Xurkitree is better off in meteor & chain crowd control.
Best legendary partners (and which rift)
Every legendary is a 5★ on its region's banner. You'll also run into them as bosses inside rifts, where the arena is built around the legendary's type, but beating one there only gets you tickets and a bond, not the Pokémon itself. There's more on rifts and legendaries.
| Legendary | Type | HP / ATK / SPD | Banner | Rift arena |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regidrago | Dragon | 160 / 1.25 / 112 | Galar | Dragon Sanctuary |
| Eternatus | Poison/Dragon | 133 / 1.50 / 133 | Galar | Toxic Swamp or Dragon Sanctuary |
| Melmetal | Steel | 131 / 1.49 / 92 | Alola | Steel Fortress |
| Solgaleo | Psychic/Steel | 132 / 1.45 / 119 | Alola | Mind Temple or Steel Fortress |
| Regigigas | Normal | 120 / 1.58 / 120 | Sinnoh | Eternal Meadow |
| Mewtwo | Psychic | 118 / 1.55 / 133 | Kanto | Mind Temple |
A dual-type legendary gets an arena for one of its two types, picked at random, so you can find it in either.
Best Pokémon for co-op
The game data has no co-op ranking, so treat this one as our opinion. In co-op, experience is shared and you revive a teammate by standing next to them. That makes a partner who slows the horde and moves well worth more to the group than a fragile damage dealer, which points toward Grass, Water or Fairy types running slows, like the co-op support build.
Best Pokémon for the Judgment of Arceus
At minute 30 the run turns into the Judgment. Arceus hits for a percentage of your HP, but the legendaries that join in deal flat damage that keeps climbing, so you need both HP and damage. Past a soft cap, speed matters less. Slaking, Blissey and Cetitan lead the shortlist, and the full list with the reasoning is on Judgment of Arceus.
How we picked
The game's own numbers come first: HP, the attack multiplier and speed. The move pool matters next, since a partner only learns Normal moves plus its own types, and a move on its weaker side hits about one tier lower. We also weigh how hard a Pokémon is to get, which is why starters and 4★ pulls sit next to legendaries here. It's the same method the tier list describes under How we rank.
FAQ
What is the best Pokémon in PokéSurvivor right now?
Going by the game's stats, Slaking is the strongest non-legendary. Regidrago tops the legendaries, with Eternatus close behind and much faster. Which one is best for you still depends on its move pool.
What is the best Pokémon for beginners?
Sobble. For a starter it has good attack and speed, and it swims at full speed in water. Go Scorbunny for more damage or Slowpoke for more HP.
Is it worth saving tickets for a legendary?
Only if you focus on one banner. A 5★ is 1.5% per pull, and pity guarantees one after 70 pulls on a banner that hasn't given you a 5★. Spreading tickets across banners doesn't reset anything, it just slows every counter down.
Are legendaries always better than 4★ Pokémon?
No. Kartana's physical multiplier (1.70) and Xurkitree's special one (1.65) beat every legendary's. Where legendaries usually come out ahead is HP and speed.
Does the best Pokémon change after patches?
Yes. Balance changes to moves, damage types and the Judgment can shift who's on top, and Poke Survivor gets patched often, so check the patch notes after each update.
