PokéSurvivor Mystery Dungeon orbs (all 6)
Last updated · Game patch · Unofficial fan guide
PokéSurvivor has six single-use orbs, and they work on the same idea as in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. You can carry up to four different kinds, three of each, and they're gone when the run ends. The effects below come from the game's own items page.

Where to get orbs
You get orbs from chests and bosses, and now and then from defeated Pokémon. The game doesn't publish drop rates.
How to use orbs (keyboard, controller, touch)
On a keyboard, orbs sit on keys 5 to 8. On a touch screen, tap the orb's slot above your moves. On a controller, X uses the orb and Y switches between them.
Hover over an orb to read what it does, and the pause screen lists every orb you're carrying. Every binding is on PokéSurvivor controls.
Carry limits
You can hold up to four different orbs at a time and up to three of each. Orbs don't leave the run, so whatever you're still holding when it ends is lost. Use them rather than saving them.
When to use each orb
These are our tips, worked out from the effects above.
When you're surrounded, Slumber gives you four seconds to walk out of the ring, and Blowback clears the space right next to you. In a boss fight, reach for Focus: fifteen seconds of extra crits is worth more against one big target than Slumber's single second. If you're looking for a rift, Luminous shows more of the map and Quick gets you there faster.
In co-op, Focus, Luminous and Quick also work on teammates near you, so pop them when the group is together. Quick is handy for reaching a downed teammate too. More on that in co-op.
Slow also sets up Hex, which hits much harder on slowed foes. There's more run advice on tips.
Orbs vs held items
Orbs are one-shot, and you can carry several. A held item is passive: you carry one at a time and it lasts the whole run. The two don't compete for space, so there's no reason not to use both. The full list is under all 11 held items.
FAQ
How many orbs can you carry in PokéSurvivor?
Up to four different kinds at once, three of each.
What does the Slumber Orb do to bosses?
It only puts them to sleep for 1 second instead of 4, so save it for the horde.
How do you use orbs on a controller or phone?
On a controller, X uses the orb and Y switches between them. On a phone or tablet, tap the orb's slot above your moves.
Do orbs carry over between runs?
No. Any orbs left when the run ends are lost.
Do orbs help co-op teammates?
Focus, Luminous and Quick do, since they affect you and nearby teammates. Slumber, Slow and Blowback act on enemies, so the whole team benefits from those anyway. The rules are the same in every Poke Survivor room.
