How to Play PokéSurvivor on Phone and Tablet
Last updated: 31 Oct 2026 · Game build 7cc83e285f · Unofficial fan guide
PokéSurvivor runs in your phone or tablet browser at pokesurvivor.com. As of 31 Oct 2026 we found no APK or app-store version released by the developer. Add it to your home screen to play fullscreen like an app, sign in so your progress lives in the cloud, and press Save before you switch devices.
Mobile got patched almost daily in October. The dates in brackets tell you which patch each point comes from, and they link to our patch notes.
Is there a PokéSurvivor app or APK?
As of 31 Oct 2026 we found no APK or app-store version released by the developer. You can install it on your home screen as a web app (PWA) with Add to Home Screen.
PokéSurvivor is an HTML5 game, so phones, tablets and PCs all play the same thing at the same address: pokesurvivor.com. The developer's itch.io page lists HTML5 as the only platform and says it works on PC and mobile. If you searched "pokemon survivor apk", the browser version is what you're after.
Install it like an app (Add to Home Screen)
Installing as an app on phones and tablets has been in the game since 9 Oct.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
Open pokesurvivor.com in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". If you press the fullscreen button and it can't go fullscreen, the game shows you these same steps (12 Oct).
Android (Chrome)
Open pokesurvivor.com in Chrome and use the browser menu.
What you get
The home-screen version opens fullscreen and in landscape. Both are set in the game's web app manifest, which we checked on 31 Oct 2026. For the solo download that does run offline, see the download answers in the FAQ.
Touch controls in short
- Floating joystick is the default. It follows your finger (27 Oct).
- Anchored joystick appears where you first touch and stays there while you hold. Settings → Controls → Place the buttons (27 Oct).
- Place the buttons lets you drag the attack buttons, held item, pause button and joystick anywhere (14 Oct).
- Manual aim is back on mobile with a second joystick: right half of the screen aims, left half moves. Lift the aim finger and moves auto-aim again. Settings → Accessibility (25 Oct). It had been removed from mobile on 20 Oct.
- Back button or gesture pauses the run instead of leaving the game (26 Oct).
Every key, button and touch option is on the full mobile touch controls page.
Phone vs tablet: screen and orientation
Play in landscape. The installed version is set to landscape anyway. In portrait on a phone, the top bar splits into two lines so coins, tickets and your name stay visible (25 Oct). The top bar also adapts better on narrow screens (26 Oct).
Cloud save across phone, tablet and PC
You need an account for this: a name and password, or Google. Guest progress isn't kept. If you play with a name and password, link your Gmail so a forgotten password isn't the end of your save (14 Oct).
The part people miss: since 20 Oct your progress saves instantly in the browser you're using, but it only goes to the cloud when you press Save (top right) or right before a game update. The patch notes are blunt about it: press Save before switching devices or clearing browser data. The Save button itself came on 18 Oct.
The rest of the save rules:
- Two devices don't cancel each other out. Coins and tickets from both are added up (14 Oct), and newer cloud data is merged in before a save, so an old open tab can't overwrite it (21 Oct).
- Fixes from 25 Oct: Save now uploads missing progress even if another device saved in between, balances no longer inflate after spending on another device, and opening the game offline then reconnecting merges the cloud copy automatically.
Save checklist before switching devices
- Press Save.
- Wait for the confirmation.
- Open or refresh the game on the other device.
What the 30 Oct anti-cheat change means for your save
Since 30 Oct, hand edits to the save stored in your browser no longer count; the cloud save is used, and Pokémon or shinies added that way are removed. Progress you earned by playing isn't touched. Details: PokéSurvivor anti-cheat explained.
Co-op on mobile data
Some mobile networks can't connect two players directly. Since 21 Oct those matches go through the game's own server relay, and that needs you signed in. Since 27 Oct the relay of either player is tried, so it no longer matters as much who hosts. If the link to the host drops for a moment, the guest's run pauses for up to 45 seconds while it reconnects, then carries on (22 Oct).
Room setup and the rest are in the co-op guide.
Common mobile problems
Every one of these has been fixed. Still seeing one? Refresh first, since the game may simply be on an old build.
- iPhone shows "Copy / Select all" when you hold the joystick. Fixed 12 Oct.
- iPhone, tapping move icons doesn't switch moves with another finger on the joystick. Fixed 12 Oct.
- Can't grab the joystick while level-up, item or bond cards are open. Fixed 25 Oct: touch outside the card.
- Input freezes when you use the joystick and pick a level-up card with two fingers. Fixed 26 Oct.
- Keyboard autocorrects your username at login. Fixed 26 Oct.
Anything newer will be in the patch notes.
